CPCAB Turns 30!

We're thrilled to be celebrating 30 years of excellence in counselling education throughout 2024.

Following our inception in late 1993, we officially became a limited company on the 26th of July 1994. This milestone marked our dedication to delivering exceptional qualifications and solidified our position as the UK's leading Awarding Organisation specialising in Counselling Education.

For the past thirty years, we’ve been committed to empowering individuals to thrive through the practice of counselling, and our firm belief in the positive impact of personal counselling has been the cornerstone of our work. The work we do has always stemmed from an important question we posed to ourselves at the beginning of our journey.

How can we effectively promote the importance of counselling?

We felt then, and we still do today, that the best way we can do this is by helping each CPCAB learner to become a safe, effective and compassionate practitioner, and to share the transformative power of counselling with others. We take great pride in the fact that we are the only UK awarding organisation run by counsellors for counsellors.

From humble beginnings, we are incredibly grateful to now work with over 240 accredited centres delivering our qualifications to over 16,000 learners each year and want to thank all our centres, tutors and learners for being a part of CPCAB. We remain dedicated to advocating for the power of counselling through qualifications that change lives and look forward to continuing this journey with you.
